Update On Star Wars Scientist

Apparently, the guy I mentioned a couple of days back, the NASA engineer who was arrested for espionage activities…he actually thought he was already working as a spy for the Mossad:

According to the transcript of Mr. Nozette’s conversation with the undercover officer posing as a Mossad recruiter, the scientist said:

“I thought I was working for you [Mossad] already.  I mean that’s what I always thought…”

I guess rocket scientists make their own share of mistakes…

Another thing of note: apparently, most spies tend to be in their 50’s:

…one of the rules of thumb is that most of our clients tend to be in their fifties, and he’s in his fifties. But if you look at Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen, Jonathan Pollard, they were all in that age group, and there’s a sort of mid-life crisis that occurs, where some men have sexual affairs and some have spying fantasies.

Sure, why not? Sean Connery was playing James Bond well into his mid-30’s.
